Future Perfect

Specifična engleska konstrukcija za izražavanje budućnosti je Future Perfect. Iako se izrazito rijetko upotrebljava, korisno ju je znati prepoznati.
Kada koristimo Future Perfect, zamišljamo određenu točku, događaj ili vrijeme u budućnosti do kojeg će pojedina aktivnost biti dovršena ili u tijeku:

By the time she's 24, Farrah will have completed her studies.
(Do svoje 24. godine, Farrah će završiti svoj studij.)
In October, I will have been reading this book for three months.
(U listopadu će biti tri mjeseca otkako čitam ovu knjigu.)

Nije svaki put potrebno navesti točno vrijeme u budućnosti za Future Perfect, međutim uvijek na umu imamo barem okvirno vremensko razdoblje do kojeg će neka radnja biti završena:

We will have completed half of our journey soon.
(Uskoro ćemo završiti pola našeg putovanja.)

Future Perfect koristimo kroz dva glagolska aspekta:

naglasak na događaju koji će se dogoditi ili završiti u određenom trenutku u budućnosti

by the time when..., by next Monday/Tuesday/..., by the end of the month/year/..., by January/February/..., by one o'clock/..., next week/month/year...
