Thanks for inviting me to your party on Saturday. I was just wondering how to get there since l've never been. Is it far away from the city centre, where we usually meet before we go out? I'm coming directly after a birthday party held at my family's restaurant, so someone can drive me to your place.

Hi Taylor,

My mum has just agreed to let me go to the concert tomorrow. But I have a curfew and need to be home by 11 pm . Instead of walking there and back home, which could take us ninety minutes, l've asked my dad to drive us. So we'll only need an hour to get to and from the concert.

I went to see that new blockbuster at the Cineplex last night. Although the online critics rated it very poorly and described it as dull, I remembered that you found it entertaining. Since we usually like similar films, I thought it would be at least action-packed. After watching it, I think l'll have to side with the critics this time.

The try-outs for the basketball team start tomorrow at 9 o'clock at the school gym. The coach said we should be there any time from 8.15 to warm up. I'll be there about a quarter of an hour before the start since I'm walking to school and I won't need that long to warm up. What time are you planning on getting there?

Hi Zach,

I'm preparing for our trip and I wanted to ask you if we could make a little detour on Friday and stop in Reading to see my family there. It's not that far from Oxford and our scheduled university tour doesn't start until Saturday at 1 pm . On our way back on Sunday, we could also stop at that designer outlet centre in Swindon to do some shopping.
