Recently, I have been thinking (1) about learning how to play the guitar. I enjoy (2) listening to music, and I believe (3) that playing an instrument will be a rewarding experience. Last week, after much thought, I finally bought (6) my first guitar. It’s a beautiful acoustic model with a rich sound, and I couldn’t wait to get started. I immediately started practicing (7) basic chords and simple strumming patterns. At first, it wasn’t easy—I struggled (8) to place my fingers correctly, and the strings left deep marks on my fingertips. I felt (9) a bit frustrated, but I knew (10) that persistence pays off (11).
